Mr. Tierce is a founder and principal of ValueMedics
Research, LLC. ValueMedics was a spin-off of Health Economics, Outcomes,
Pricing and Market Access Group of Epinomics Research, Inc., a company
also co-founded by Mr. Tierce in 1997. Mr. Tierce helps direct all
aspects of ValueMedics business offerings and marketing activities.
With over 20 years of experience in health economics research and
consulting for the pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostics
industries, Mr. Tierce is one of the pioneers in the field of applied
pharmacoeconomics and value strategy development. Most recently,
Mr. Tierce has developed an outcomes research approach to value-based
pharmaceutical pricing. Using his strong background in research methodology
and data analysis, he supports ValueMedics’ clients through
his involvement at key stages in most research projects and by helping
to develop business offerings to meet important client research and
consulting needs.
Prior to launching ValueMedics and his prior firm, Epinomics Research,
Inc., Mr. Tierce held positions at Churchill Communications North
America, Inc. (now Quadrant HealthCom), where he was the Vice President
of Health Economics and the founder and General Manager of Churchill
Health Economics. Mr. Tierce was also the founding Director of the
Health Economics Business Unit at State and Federal Associates, Inc.,
and before that was a Research Director in the path-breaking Medical
Technologies Assessment Division of SysteMetrics/McGraw Hill (now
Medstat, Inc.).
Mr. Tierce has published numerous public and private reports on economic
evaluations of medical technologies. He received his BA, MA and was
advanced to candidacy for a PhD and granted a CPhil in political
science. In addition, Mr. Tierce completed two years of post-graduate
courses in econometrics and experimental design, all at the University
of California, Los Angeles. |
