As a senior research manager, Ms. Semroc manages
a variety of projects in health economics, outcomes, and pricing.
Ms. Semroc develops a number of economic models, including cost recovery
models, reimbursement analyzers, budget-impact models, and burden-of-illness
models. Ms. Semroc also conducts epidemiological and economic analyses
of various databases using SPSS, with key experience analyzing the
Medicare 5 percent sample and National Center for Health Statistics
(NCHS) databases. In addition, Ms. Semroc performs qualitative and
quantitative value research with physicians, hospitals, and payers
to understand each audiences’ financial incentives, and their
perception of product value, and to provide a baseline for developing
product access strategies to maximize product coverage, reimbursement,
and use. Although Ms. Semroc has worked in most therapeutic areas,
her focus is oncology and diabetes.
Ms. Semroc comes to ValueMedics from a large contract research organization,
PAREXEL International, where she managed health economics and outcomes
research projects. In her role as outcomes research manager, Ms.
Semroc managed and completed projects in various therapeutic areas,
including: economic models, economic environment assessments, financial
risk assessments, payer mix analyses, and prospective economic and
quality-of-life trial design. Ms. Semroc brings a range of strong
quantitative research skills that considerably extend and enhance
the capabilities of ValueMedics. Before taking on a project management
role, as an Analyst, Ms. Semroc was responsible for conducting clinical
and economic literature reviews and performing retrospective data
analyses.
Ms. Semroc’s earlier work experience was as a Research Analyst
at an energy consulting company, where she developed energy-related
case studies and managed large databases containing fuel-specific
data.
Ms. Semroc received her Master of Arts in Economics from the State
University of New York at Albany and her Bachelor of Arts in French
from West Virginia University. |
