Cheryl Prasad  |  Analyst, Health Economics

Ms. Prasad brings seven years of health care research experience to her position as an Analyst within the Health Economics group of ValueMedics Research, LLC.

Prior to joining ValueMedics, Ms. Prasad was the Primary Clinical Data Manager for Phase I drug trials in the Data Management Division of the Baltimore Clinical Pharmacology Research Unit at PAREXEL International, a large contract research organization. There, as part of the Division start-up team, she was responsible for establishing the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the data management group and hiring and training all new staff members. She was also the primary database manager for all Data Management (DM) projects during her tenure. She was responsible for programming SAS scripts for reports and analyses in addition to developing and programming databases in MS Access (utilizing Visual Basic) and iVal (utilizing FoxPro 6.0). Ms. Prasad managed internal resource allocation for all projects and was the primary contact between data management, the client, and the project staff. During her tenure, the Data Management Division was the most profitable division of the Phase I unit.

Previously, Ms Prasad worked briefly for an internet company as a data warehousing analyst within the Research and Development group, conducting primary research on millions of data points captured in real-time from the A-root server. In addition, Ms. Prasad also gained experience in hospital administration as an intern with Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London, England, under the NHS. Ms. Prasad also spent several years working on the data collection, analysis and early intervention services of a longitudinal study for high risk neonatal patients.

Cheryl Prasad earned her B.A. from the University of Rochester in Health and Society, with a concentration in Health Economics and Public Policy Analysis. She is currently working on her MS in Health Systems Management from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.
