 Julie Munakata has
over 10 years of industry and academic experience in health economics
and clinical research. As a senior project manager, Ms. Munakata
is involved in the design, management, analysis, interpretation
and reporting of projects that include economic modeling, clinical
and economic literature based evaluations and data analyses of healthcare
claims databases.
Prior to joining ValueMedics, Ms. Munakata was a project director at the VA Health Economics Resource Center and the Stanford Center for Primary Care and Outcomes Research. She managed the health economic sub-study of a tri-national clinical trial, developed decision analytic models in HIV/AIDS, and conducted research on preference assessment methods.
Prior to her affiliations with the VA/Stanford, Ms. Munakata gained extensive experience in clinical research management and analysis. At Wyeth, she managed ex-US phase IV clinical trials in the area of transplantation and immunology. At UCLA, she conducted exploratory clinical research studies from concept to completion in the area of functional bowel disease. Her work has resulted in over 20 publications in peer-reviewed journals.
Ms. Munakata earned a bachelor of science degree in Psychobiology from
the University of California, Los Angeles and a master of science degree
in Health Policy and Management from the Harvard University School of Public Health. |
